A trip close to Town Hall Square made by a visitor from outside Reading. Things seemed vibrant, interesting, well managed until they got to the Holybrook towards the back of the Library. What a mess, what a missed opportunity. Here is something historic (the old Abbey mill arch), quirky (the brook – which runs under the Library and comes out the other side) – potentially beautiful but at the moment horrid.
